TRAINING AND PLACEMENT

Don Bosco Ashalayam provides career counseling, job placement assistance, and other support to help their students find employment. We have placed 100+ young adults in various sectors including IT, Industrial and Commercial, Hospitality, Nursing, Social work, Advertising and publishing, Sports, Legal Professional and Retail during 2018-22. Also, we have vocational training centres for the children who want to learn as per their choice and capacity.

ABHISHEK SHAW

[ Working at Decathlon ]

His mother and father were not able to take care of him due to extreme poverty and other issues. He completed his Madhyamik in year 2017. He was staying in Asha TICI hostel and completed his HS and training. Now he has completed 3 years of Bachelor in Sport Management. Besides, studies he had been also working on a part-time basis.

Abhishek Shaw has been selected by Decathlon Patna. He is passionate about cycling and has recently completed tours in Bhubaneswar and Darjeeling, riding more than 2000 km on two wheels. Abhishek's dedication to cycling is evident as he rode 600 km to join his job at Decathlon Patna for the opening of their first store in Patna. His dream is to travel all over India on two wheels.

NSDC with DBTECH

DBA in association with Don Bosco Tech is providing retail management training to 80 boys and girls in two batches. The training is for 4 months, one-month theory and three months practical in Decathlon store. On successful completion of the training, the trainees will receive a government-recognized NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) certificate. Decathlon is the training partner for this program.

MoU with FFSC

Don Bosco Ashalayam signed an MoU with Furniture and Fittings Skill Council, Gurgaon Haryana which helps senior children with training and job placement.

Life Skill Sessions

The workshops are conducted every month to prepare adolescents and teens to cope with life's challenges. The LSE sessions are conducted in batches and cover all children from class 8 onwards.

Vocational Training Centres

The Vocational Training Centres (VTC) are available for the children who want to learn more as per their choice and capacity. They help children to develop specific skills as well as life skills with a focus on soft skills: teamwork, discipline, tolerance, emotional balance, respect, and care for nature and self. Post pandemic situation is challenging; hence development is in a phased manner. Presently 59 children are getting skill trained in sections of their choice.
